The tale of saying 'nope'

The tale of saying 'nope'

"And you've been so busy lately. That you haven't found the time. To open up your mind and watch the world spinning gently out of time"
Out of Time - Blur

Over the last few posts I have been promising to tackle Toxic People as a subject matter and the lack of posts in the last week has been because i have been busy with so much work. I have started the toxic post but there's a lot to cover. So, while I continue to write that epic post on an founders experience of toxicity in the workplace, I wanted to give you all an update.

I have been really busy over the last few weeks and I have a real problem saying no to myself and others at times. I want to do everything, be everywhere and experience all life and business has to offer. Sadly I am a human being, with several years under my belt and many more pounds over it. Sometimes I have to say 'nope' to myself and others and the last couple of weeks have been an opportunity to exercise that. That doesn't mean stuff hasn't been happening. Loads has been going on but I just had to draw the line somewhere.

In the words of Mona from classic Canadian kids show Nanalan (and associated memes) "No because No"

Anyway..............stuff is happening.

So Founder Labs goes from strength to strength. Not only are the first cohort embarking on their tour of Dublin and New York City we are also coming to the end of the application process for cohort 2. The response has been fantastic so far and we continue to speak with amazing founders who are keen to join us for the next intake. Applications close on the 6th of October so there is still time to apply and you can find out more here if interested.

My new startup Foundry Fuel is also making great progress internally. The prototype of the first main feature is near completion and once done that will be getting plugged into the main site for trials (pre-official launch) in November. We should be live with that, all going well, in December/January. Remember to pre-register if you want to get involved once we go live. I promise that, if you are a technologist in Ireland, it's going to be great.
